Global equity · WCM Investment Management
A concentrated portfolio of high-quality global businesses with widening competitive advantages.
The Fund invests in large-cap, publicly traded companies that benefit from long-lasting tailwinds, possess growing economic competitive advantages, maintain high barriers to entry, and are led by innovative management teams. A distinctive part of WCM’s process is its in-depth analysis of corporate culture, which it treats as a key investment tool and a leading indicator of a company’s ability to widen its competitive advantage over time. The fund employs a high-conviction approach, typically holding between 30 and 50 large-cap companies.
Risk management is achieved through a disciplined valuation framework relative to each company’s earnings growth potential. Diversification is considered both traditionally, across sectors, industries, countries, and currencies, and through a less conventional lens based on opportunity profiles, categorising holdings as transitional (promising new products and services), traditional (sustainable earnings growth), or opportunistic (undervalued or overlooked by the market).
